Pedestrian killed on College Street in South Hadley

SOUTH HADLEY, Mass. (WWLP) – A pedestrian died after being struck by a car on College Street in South Hadley Wednesday morning.

Northwestern District Attorney’s Office spokesperson Mary Carey told 22News the driver of the car remained at the site of the crash and cooperated with police. No charges have been filed at this time.

Carey said the accident happened in the area of 29 College Street at approximately 10:15 a.m.

When our 22News crew got there, the area was sectioned off with yellow caution tape, and a car was in the street with front end damage.

Local and state police are continuing to look into what led up to the crash.
