Pedestrian struck, killed by car in South Hadley identified

SOUTH HADLEY, Mass. (WWLP) – The pedestrian struck and killed by a car on College Street in South Hadley Wednesday has been identified.

Northwestern District Attorney’s Office spokesperson Mary Carey identified the victim as 88-year-old Michihiro Yoshida, of South Hadley.

The deadly accident happened at around 10:15 a.m. Wednesday in the area of 29 College Street. Carey said the driver of the car stopped and cooperated with police in their investigation. There is no word on any charges at this time.

Carey said police are still looking into what led up to the accident.
