Picknelly, Yee, Vann families buy McLadden’s restaurants in MA, CT

NORTHAMPTON, Mass. (WWLP) – The Picknelly, Yee, and Vann families have expanded their restaurant partnership by purchasing the McLadden’s restaurants in Massachusetts and Connecticut.

The Bean Restaurant Group now operates 11 restaurants with the addition of the Northampton, Simsbury, Connecticut, and West Hartford, Connecticut, McLadden’s pubs.

“We are extremely excited to take on this incredible project and we’re anxious to get started,”Andy Yee said in a news release sent to 22News. “We will refurbish all the restaurants and take a fresh look at their menus and entertainment. We plan to work closely with the Picknelly and Vann families, and the McLadden’s brand, to bring you the finest dining experiences in the Yee family tradition.”

McLadden’s longtime owner Michael Ladden will continue his role as registered cicerone and director of beverage development.

The Bean Restaurant Group operates the following restaurants: Johnny’s Bar & Grille, Johnny’s Tap Room, IYA Sushi & Noodle Kitchen, the Half Way House and The Boathouse in South Hadley. Other restaurants include: Johnny’s Tavern in Amherst; Johnny’s Roadside Diner in Hadley, and The Student Prince/Fort in Springfield.
