The Dana Farber Cancer Institute will benefit from the money raised during Saturday’s first annual Smith Vocational 5K Run/Walk
The Northampton gardens was the setting for the inaugural event that attracted dozens of participants. For a first time event, organizers were pleased with the results.
Adam Linkenhoker, the events organizer told 22News how much it meant to him, “It means the world to me, here today to raise money for Dana Farber and for cancer research. And we have friends who are fighting cancer.”
The Dana Farber Institute is in support of the Smith Vocational administrator who’ll be running in next month’s Boston Marathon in remembrance of family members who had succumbed to cancer.
