A Florence man is dead after a crash on Route 112 in the Goss Hill Road area Friday night.
22News received reports about a car in a river near Route 112 in Worthington right after 10 p.m., but according to State Police, troopers from the Russell Barracks were called to the single-vehicle crash at 8:45 p.m.
State Police said a 29-year-old Florence man was traveling northbound on Route 112 in a 2018 Ford F-350 when, for reasons unknown, he lost control of the vehicle, crashing through the guardrail off the left side of the roadway, before the intersection with Goss Hill Road. He was ejected from the vehicle and landed in a nearby body of water known as the Little River.
State Police tweeted information about the deadly crash shortly after 10:30 p.m. They said the accident involved a single vehicle with one occupant.

The name of the Florence man has not been released.
The Florence man was pronounced dead at that location and authorities are trying to figure out what caused the him to loose control of the vehicle.
State Police were assisted by Worthington, Huntington, and Cummington Fire, and Hilltown Community Ambulance. State Police Collision Analysis and Reconstruction Section and Crime Scene Services Section were also called in to assist.
Route 112 is near the Huntington town line.
