UMass celebrated it’s third straight year of being named the best campus food in the country Tuesday night.
Chefs from the top five schools on the Princeton Review’s list were all at the Hampshire Dining Commons Tuesday night.
A total of 15 chefs created 30 different dishes as part of the celebration. Virginia Tech, James Madison University, Cornell University, and the University of San Diego all joined UMass in the top five.
“We survey hundreds of thousands, it’s nearly 200,000 current college students,” said Editor in Chief of the Princeton Review, Rob Franek. “Ask them questions about their experience at 384 different schools, one of which is UMass. We had a little over 11,000 students from UMass complete our survey this year.”
UMass has consistently been ranked in the top ten for campus food, but they have won the top title for the last three years.
