Hundreds of UMass students, faculty and staff spent a rainy Saturday doing community service.
Saturday marks the 7th annual “Mass Impact Day of Service”.
The one-day event gives students an opportunity to learn about the communities UMass is part of and about the importance of giving back.
Student volunteers from more than 20 organizations performed different types of services Saturday, including landscaping and raking leaves.
Some students helped out at Rockridge Retirement Home in Northampton.
