We’re just days away from April which means we’ll soon be seeing a pop of color.
But there are a few flowers you can plant right now to brighten things up.
22News went to the Hadley Garden Center to find out which flowers we’ll see first.
Nursery Manager, Dan Ziomek, told 22News, “Well some things are already here. We’ve already got pansies, certainly, they can go in the ground anytime now. But very shortly bulbs are going to start popping out of the ground. We’ve got witch hazel in the landscape around the area.”
Ziomek said recent cool nights have been slowing things down for the flowers and that we need nights with above-freezing temperatures to ramp things up.
Nighttime temperatures above 40 degrees will help flowers bloom even more paired with high temperatures in the 50s and 60s during the daytime.
The Garden Center said they’ve already noticed more locals coming in to buy flowers to plant in their backyard gardens.
