CHICOPEE, Mass. (WWLP) – There are over 47-million people over age 65 living in the United States according to the U-S Census Bureau. This demographic accounts for nearly 15-percent of the total population. And that number continues to grow as baby boomers, those born between 1946-1964, age into retirement.
While most people look forward to retirement, older adults face particular problems due to their age, health, and life circumstances.
This week on 22News InFocus we’re going to be discussing some of the most common quality of life issues faced by older adults, as well as resources and support services right here in the greater Springfield area.
If you missed the live stream, the program will re-air on Sunday, April 21 at noon on 22News.
