Mail centers handling packages with precaution amid recent bomb scare

Local News

The U.S. Postal Service says they are working closely with law enforcement as they look into the recent series of suspicious packages sent to politicians.

The USPS said they have specific protocols for identifying and handling mail or packages that seem suspect, and they are providing additional resources to employees right now.

They said there are several characteristics you can keep an eye out for if you’re worried about suspicious packages, including, a city or state postmark that doesn’t match a return address, packages that don’t have a return address at all or are marked with “personal” or “confidential.”
