Springfield police investigating body recovered from Connecticut River

(WWLP) – A body of a man has been recovered from the Connecticut River Saturday afternoon.

Springfield Police Spokesperson Ryan Walsh told 22News, around 12:45 p.m., officers were called to Connecticut River after receiving a report of a body spotted by a person walking along a trail.

Walsh said the Springfield Police Detective Bureau and medical examiner’s office will conduct an investigation on the unattended death.
