A neglected dog is continuing to recover after being found abandoned just over the state line in Suffield, Connecticut, almost 2 weeks ago.

Suffield Police Captain Christopher McKee said Animal Control found the dog, they have now named Brooks, tied to a tree in Stony Brook Park.

He’s about 8 years old. The River Valley Animal Center in Suffield told 22News, Brooks has been vaccinated and is in good health. They expect to have him up for adoption soon.

Anyone who has information about the dog is asked to contact Suffield Animal Control 860-668-3870
