Super Bowl Sunday is a day Patriots fans everywhere have been waiting for all year.

“I can’t wait to see Tom Brady play again he’s the ‘GOAT’ for a reason, throwing passes to Julian Edelman and Rob Gronkowski,” said Springfield Patriots fan, Mike Lynch. “The Patriots have a great defense and Bill Belichick, hopefully they just pull it out again.”

Some Pats fans are going to local bars to watch the game, while others are ordering pizzas and wings for their super bowl parties at home. Peppas Xpress in Springfield had to make a lot of pizzas to feed all those hungry Patriots fans, but it was the chicken wings that was their top seller.

“Its crazy with a lot of wing orders for gametime we go through a lot of wings, wings calzones, pizzas just all kinds of stuff like that,” said Yanni Mirisis, Manager of Peppa’s Xpress.

Paddy’s Irish Pub is right next door to Peppas Xpress. Paddy’s said the two businesses feed off each others success.

“Whether people get food first, or come here or are here already, have some drinks and they want some food,” said Erik Wellhoff. “Peppas and I, we have a great relationshiop, so we go as they go and vice versa.”

Wellhoff told 22News most of their customers are from the local colleges, Western New England, AIC, and Springfield College. He anticipates a lot of them will stay at the bar late Sunday night if the Patriots win.

Springfield Pats fan Mike Lynch said, “It’ll be crazy and they will going all night singing dancing, they will be going all night celebrating the win, so hopefully the Patriots pull it out, and go Pats!”
