As western Massachusetts gets ready for its second snowstorm of the winter season, some local businesses are also preparing.
Otis Ridge Ski Area is expecting a lot of residents to come skiing and snowboarding due to the snowstorm.
Since this snowstorm falls on President’s Day, many kids are off from school and many adults are off from work — a perfect time to head to the slopes. Some local residents told 22News that more snow means more time to ski on the mountain.
“The more snow, the more jumps you get, and the more jumps you have the bigger air you get,” said Marco Perfetto of Connecticut. “The more practice you get, the less you fall, and you won’t get laughed at.”
The snow is expected to continue overnight Sunday and into Monday. Although the storm might create traffic delays, some local residents are excited for another opportunity to go to Otis Ridge.
Otis Ridge will be open Monday from 9 a.m. until 9 p.m.
