A Longmeadow police officer rescued an owl, who fell from his nest at Bliss Park Wednesday evening.

The Longmeadow Police Department posted on their Facebook page that officer MacElhiney responded to an animal call at the park and found Albert, an Eastern Screech owl.

Police say Albert was brought back to the station after officer MacElhiney found it.

Albert will be picked up by a bird sanctuary to be raised by other owls.
