BOSTON, Mass. (WWLP) – The Massachusetts Hospital Association has taken a stand on the legalization of recreational marijuana.
They voted unanimously against legalizing pot when it’s not for a medical purpose.
They say it would become too commercial and easy for young people to get.
Governor Charlie Baker, Attorney General Maura Healey and Boston Mayor Marty Walsh also oppose the idea.
A ballot question voters may see in November aims to allow the recreational use of marijuana and possession of up to an ounce for those 21 and older.
It would also allow individuals to possess up to 10 ounces of marijuana in their homes.
