Chicopee, Mass. (WWLP) – Massachusetts has been named the most energy efficient state for the sixth consecutive year.
The American Council for an Energy-Efficient Economy ranks states on their energy efficiency programs.
Governor Charlie Baker said the state’s environmental policies remain the most cost-effective method of reducing ratepayer costs and lowering emissions.
He recently signed energy diversification legislation will allow property owners to finance energy efficiency and renewable energy upgrades.
