The 104th Fighter Wing from Barnes Air National Guard Base in Westfield performed a flyover at the Patriot’s playoff game Sunday.
According to a news release sent to 22News, the fighter wing will perform an F-15 Eagle flyover during the opening ceremony of the game in Foxboro.
The F-15 Eagles will fly in formation, “serving as a symbol of power and patriotism.”
The release said that flyovers, such as the one planned for Sunday’s game, are additional training opportunities for the pilots and ground crews.
The Patriots defeated the Los Angeles Chargers 41-28 Sunday in the AFC Divisional Round of the playoffs.
