REVERE, Mass. (WWLP) – A dead whale washed up on Revere Beach Friday morning.

According to Massachusetts State Police, it’s the same whale that washed ashore in Cohasset on September 9. It was brought out to sea later that day.

The 25-foot whale is scheduled to be buried in place Friday once the tide recedes.

“This the latest of several deceased whales to have washed ashore in Mass. waters in recent weeks,” state police said. “Sad to see. What a beautiful creature.”
