AAA: Massachusetts gas prices higher than national average

Massachusetts

(WWLP) – The average price of a gallon of gasoline in Massachusetts dropped a penny in the past week.

AAA Northeast announced Monday that self-serve, regular is now selling for an average of $2.52 per gallon.

A penny lower than last week and a penny higher than the national average.

A year ago, the average per-gallon price in Massachusetts was 12 cents lower at $2.40 per gallon.

AAA says increased total domestic supplies and lower demand have helped to ease pump prices.
