Another horse infected with EEE in Massachusetts

BOSTON (WWLP) – The Massachusetts Department of Public Health has announced that an eighth horse has been infected with Eastern Equine Encephalitis (EEE) virus.

The horse was stabled in the Worcester County town of Spencer, which is considered at high risk for EEE.

So far this year, there have been 12 human cases of EEE and nine animal cases.
