Warm weather means more motorcycles on the road.
Federal figures found motorcyclists deaths occurred twenty times more often than deaths in other vehicles.
The Department of Transportation urges drivers to share the road.
Some riders say drivers forget to watch for motorcycles after a long winter.
“Bicyclists get hit around here sometimes, but motorcyclists especially, unless they have a loud muffler like the ones you hear,” said Ziem Nguyen of Northampton. “People just do not have any clue.”
The Department of Transportation urges motorcycle riders to wear a helmet, which is the law in Massachusetts, and reflective, brightly colored clothing to make themselves even more visible on the road.
