Be aware of schemers looking to take advantage of Super Bowl excitement

If you’re looking to find that last-minute ticket to Atlanta, you have to be careful. Many crooks are looking to spoil the Super Bowl for last minute shoppers.

When purchasing tickets, try to buy directly from the NFL or an NFL-approved ticket broker. It’s also important to check to see if they are a part of the National Association of Ticket Brokers.

Patriots fan Andy Colon said he always buys merchandise straight from the NFL.

“People will open up their wallets for things like jerseys and other Super Bowl sales,” Colon said. “It’s hard to differentiate, but there’s some that are actually legit. So going by different websites and URLs that you know are credible is usually the best way to go.”

If you come across a business you’re unsure of, it’s important to check with the Better Business Bureau to find out if any complaints have been filed against that business.

The most affordable Super Bowl ticket is listed at $2,500.
