A new poll shows people would rather not talk politics at Thanksgiving dinner.
The Quinnipiac University poll found people want to avoid discussing politics over dinner on Thanksgiving, 2-1.
The poll surveyed more than 1,000 voters from across the country over the last week.
David Hernandez of Northampton said he doesn’t avoid talking politics on turkey day, but he can see why it presents some problems.
“Just different personalities in the room, old grudges, and family dynamics,” Hernandez told 22News. “A little baggage, I think it’s normal. But we don’t avoid it, we talk about whatever we want to talk about.”
One way to keep the conversation friendly, stick to talking turkey this Thanksgiving.
