Granby votes for restrictions on marijuana shops in town

GRANBY, Mass. (WWLP) – The Town of Granby overwhelmingly approved restrictions on opening any retail Marijuana shops in town.

In the Special Town Meeting, they voted 66 to 1 to impose a moratorium for opening any Marijuana Establishments until November 2018.

The Moratorium could end earlier than November 30th if the town adopts zoning or general by-law amendments to regulate retail pot outlets.

During the Moratorium, the town of Granby will launch a process to address the potential impacts of recreational Marijuana in town.
