Massachusetts resident won $100,000 playing lottery numbers from the Red Sox jerseys

A Templeton man has won $100,000 in the Massachusetts State Lottery’s “Mass Cash” game.

The Massachusetts State Lottery said Jim Aylward, Jr. matched all five numbers selected in the Monday, November 5 Mass Cash drawing, 11-16-19-22-25.

Aylward’s winning combination represents five members of the Red Sox’ 2018 World Championship winning team of two young stars, a dazzling outfielder, a starting pitcher and the series MVP.

He claimed his prize Wednesday, November 7 and has five children, nine grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.

Aylward bought his winning ticket at Cumberland Farms, 163 Patriots Rd. (Route 2A) in East Templeton.
