(WWLP) -Two Massachusetts lottery players are waking up millionaires Wednesday morning.
Massachusetts State Lottery spokesperson Christian Teja told 22News James Griffin of Winthrop bought a winning ticket in East Boston winning $3 million by matching the first five numbers drawn while playing the game’s Megaplier option. The store that sold the ticket will be receiving a $30,000 bonus. Griffin said he plans to invest his winnings.
Another ticket sold in Brighton won $1 million by matching the first five numbers drawn but has not been claimed as of yet.
The winning ticket for the game’s $522 million jackpot, however, was sold across the country in California.
You have another chance at becoming a multimillionaire Wednesday night. The Powerball jackpot for Wednesday’s drawing is sitting at $147 million with a cash option of $89.1 million.
