Open enrollment for insurance through Mass Health Connector has begun

Massachusetts

Important information for you, if you’re looking to sign up for health insurance through the Massachusetts Health Connector.

Open enrollment for insurance through the state’s health connector has officially begun, and you have just over three months to complete your application.

Open enrollment for insurance through the Mass Health Connector officially closes on January 23, 2019.

You can complete your application for coverage on the connector’s website, but you can also receive help completing your application in person through a certified application consoler.

Most locations do require you to call ahead and make an appointment, that information can also be found on their website.

Payments are due by December 23, for plans that begin on July 1.

More than 260,000 people and small employers currently get health insurance from nine carriers and 57 plans that are offered through the Health Connector

Residents whose household income is 300 percent of the Federal Poverty Level or lower, may qualify for ConnectorCare.

If your income is higher, you won’t qualify, but you might be eligible to get tax credits which would lower the cost of your monthly premiums.
