The lottery’s Powerball jackpot is up to $280 million for Wednesday’s drawing.
According to Mass Lottery Spokesperson Christian Teja, the cash option of the prize is estimated to be $167.3 million.
Teja said Wednesday night’s drawing will be the fifteenth since the jackpot was last hit on March 24, when a $55.9 million jackpot was won off a ticket sold in Louisiana.
The jackpot is also the game’s highest since March 17, when a $456.7 million jackpot was won on a ticket sold in Pennsylvania.
Tickets for Wednesday’s drawing are $2 and can be bought until 9:50 p.m. Wednesday at Massachusetts Lottery retailers across the state. Drawings are held every Wednesday and Friday at 10:59 p.m.
