Run in Attleboro honors young girl’s life, helps to build new playground

Massachusetts

(WPRI) — A run in Attleboro on Saturday honored the life of a little girl and also raised money for a new playground.

Ariella’s Rainbow Dash Color Run began at the Robert J. Coelho Middle School.

Money raised from today’s event will go towards the Ariella Marie Foundation Playground Rebuild Project at the Tilda B. Stone playground, in addition to helping those in the community who suffered tragic losses.

“We were working with the SUDC foundation to get the word out for SUDC as well as getting the word out for our daughters story,” said Ariella’s father, Lawrence Ouellette.

“The second stage is to continue to raise money, as much money as possible, for as long as possible to give out to the community for people in need that have suffered any type of tragedy in their lives.”

Last year Ariella died suddenly at the age of two, due to unknown causes.
