BOSTON (WPRI) — In honor of the New England Patriots making it to their third straight Super Bowl, Sam Adams is brewing a limited-time beer commemorating the "G.O.A.T." himself, Tom Brady.
According to Sam Adams, the farmhouse double New England IPA is called "Too Old, Too Slow, Still Here" and will be available on draft in its Boston Brewery & Tap Room starting Thursday at 4:30 p.m.
“We’re behind New England Patriots 100% as they head to the big game," Sam Adams founder and brewer Jim Koch said. "The best way we could think to honor the team was to brew a beer for fans that can’t make it to Atlanta and a New England style Double IPA with as much spirit as the players felt like the perfect beer. We haven’t doubted them all season and can’t wait to watch them on Sunday with a beer in hand that honors their hard work.”
Since Brady was selected 199th in the 2000 draft, the first 199 people that visit the brewery will be able to purchase one crowler.
There will also be free Buffalo Wild Wings, live entertainment, commemorative posters and stickers and a sample of the beer for up to 300 attendees. The event runs until 7:30 p.m.
