HOLYOKE, Mass. (WWLP) – A former Holyoke convent built almost 110 years ago will now house 25 men trying to overcome their drug addiction or alcoholism.
The Providence Ministries and Sisters of Providence re-opened the building now called McCleary Manor.
Bishop Mitchell Rozanski told 22News, “Even though this has room for 25, we know there is a lot of men who would like to have the services. But the sisters know they have to start one person at a time.”
For many years McCleary Manor had been home to the former Brightside Orphanage.
