Mercy Care Alliance aims to help people recover at home

News

WEST SPRINGFIELD, Mass. (WWLP) – The Mercy Care Alliance is celebrating its move to a new home at the former Brightside facility in West Springfield.

A ribbon cutting ceremony was held at the Riverdale Street facility Friday morning.

Mercy Care Alliance is a network of nurses that help people who have just been released from the hospital.

“When the patients are discharged, my nurses pick up those patients that are discharged , follow them, make phone calls, to make sure they have the services they need,” Director of Care Management Debbie Marquis said.

The Mercy Care Alliance mission is in keeping with the increasing reliance on home care, instead of a long stay in the hospital.
