West Springfield’s diversity was celebrated Wednesday night with a multicultural festival.
West Springfield’s Coordinated Family and Community Engagement held its first multicultural festival at the West Springfield public library.
Families enjoyed crafts, music, and food while learning about a variety of different cultures.
Several community groups and residents represented their home countries at the festival.
West Springfield has one of the highest refugee populations and over 30 languages are spoken in West Springfield.
Wednesday night’s event celebrated the diversity that exists in the schools and community.
The activities are made possible by the coordinated family and community engagement grants.
