State Senator Jo Comerford and Representatives Natalie Blais, Dan Carey, Mindy Domb, and Lindsay Sabadosa have launched a pilot project to hear from constituents in their communities.
The first listening session was held Friday afternoon at the Sunderland Public Library. The sessions can only be attended by people who sign-up ahead of time. The meeting was closed to the media.
Representative Blais told 22News, they’re planning monthly joint listening sessions to bring Beacon Hill home to the Valley.
“Today was all about the environment,” Blais said. “So that was really interesting and we talked about specific bills that have been introduced and co-sponsored. Some groups were for, some were against, so we really heard from everyone today.
The pilot project is meant to see if people would be interested in meeting with all of the legislators at once, and Blais said they were thrilled at the response.
Blais told 22News that monthly sessions are fully booked now through May.
