No injuries reported in heavy car fire

BRISTOL, Conn. (AP) — No one was injured in a heavy car fire on a residential street in a suburban Connecticut city.

The Hartford Courant reports the fire started shortly after 2 a.m. Saturday in Bristol.

The Bristol Fire Department says the car was a total loss. The department says a nearby garage and two houses sustained some damage from the intense heat.

The fire has been determined to be suspicious and is under investigation.
