A local boys soccer team is helping to find a cure for breast cancer.
The BU-10 Northampton Soccer Team has raised more than $1,000 for breast cancer research. On Saturday, they presented a check to “Rays of Hope.”
Led by Head Coach Scott Breveleri and Assistant Coach Jack Mattison-Gulotta, the team recently held a car wash to raise money for the organization.
They played Saturday’s games at Nonotuck Park in Easthampton in special pink uniforms in honor of Michelle Sutton, who is currently battling breast cancer.
The team will be participating in next Sunday’s “Rays of Hope Walk” in Springfield.
