HOLYOKE, Mass. (WWLP) – The Olde Holyoke Development Corporation has worked its magic once again.
With a lot of work and effort, an eyesore of a property on Beech Street has been converted into a new home that’s now up for sale. It’s the key to the development corporation’s home ownership program.
Michael Moriarty, executive director of the Olde Holyoke development corporation, told 22News, “Create an opportunity for affordable home ownership. For a family that would otherwise never would have been able to bring their family into a new home.”
This is the 160th time a vacant property has been converted in affordable housing in Holyoke. The asking price for this brand new home is $130,000.
