Painted wooden sculpture among new arts to be seen on Big E fairgrounds

The Big-E will open its gates at the Eastern States Exposition on September 14 but some tents are already up and setup is underway.

Wednesday, a new art sculpture was installed on the fairgrounds.

“Chameleon” is a 900 pound painted wood sculpture designed by western Massachusetts Philanthropist Harold Grinspoon of the Grinspoon Foundation.

The sculpture is on loan to the Big E for the next two years.
