Pence promotes Trump’s so-called border “crisis”

As the partial government shutdown enters day 18, Vice President Mike Pence tells NBC News that he expects President Trump to “explain to the American people that we have a humanitarian and security crisis at our southern border” during a prime-time address Tuesday night. 

 When asked whether or not the president will declare a national emergency in order to build his border wall, Pence said a decision has not yet been made, but it is “something he’s looking at and considering.” 

 Mr. Trump will try to justify why he needs more than $5 billion for the border wall, during his live, Oval Office address tonight. He will also make a trip to the border Thursday.
