Power restored at Baystate Medical Center


SPRINGFIELD, Mass. (WWLP) – Power has been restored to Baystate Medical Center in Springfield. 

Baystate Health spokesperson Shelly Hazlett told 22News they lost power at around 2:30 p.m. The hospital was running on generator power until 4:20 p.m., when the outage was fixed.

Hazlett said patient care and safety remained their highest priority during the outage.

Baystate Medical Center is currently experiencing a power outage and running on generator power. We are working to resolve this situation as quickly as possible and with minimal interruption for our patients, guests and team members. Our highest priority is on patient care and safety at all times.
