SPRINGFIELD, Mass. (WWLP) – A new study finds most Massachusetts children lack access to high quality preschool.
According to the report, 60 percent of the country’s four-year-olds, nearly 2.5 million children, are not enrolled in publically funded preschool programs.
Here in Massachusetts, the number is even more lopsided: 75 percent of Massachusetts children are not enrolled.
The report suggests the law mandate education start at pre-school not kindergarten.
