SOUTH HADLEY, Mass. (WWLP) – Police are searching the waters of the Connecticut River between South Hadley and Holyoke for a missing 18 year old woman.

Chicopee Police Officer Mike Wilk told 22News they’re looking for any sign of Brianna Cuoco. She was last seen on Monday in the area of Bridge Street in South Hadley.

The search area is just south of the Vietnam Veterans Memorial Bridge.

State Police Lt. T.J. Murphy told 22News police dogs became interested in something either near the river or in the river, but nothing has been found.

The state police are helping South Hadley, Chicopee and Holyoke Police.

They’re using police dogs, a helicopter and dive teams.

Lt. Murphy said it’s possible they’ll continue the search past dark. Police are asking people not to go down by the river.
