AGAWAM, Mass. (WWLP) – If you’re the one hosting Saturday 4th of July barbecue there are some easy ways you can save money on that party. You can cut back on costs by choosing less expensive products, like a cheaper cut of meat and marinade for more flavor. You can also ask friends to each make a dish to cut back on your own grocery bill.
But one woman shopping for her holiday weekend in Agawam told 22News she doesn’t mine spending a little extra to host friends and family.
“Especially seafood or steaks or something like that. If I invite somebody, I don’t expect them to bring anything but themselves. If they want to bring a dish they can, but basically I like to do my own cooking,” Rose Rossi of Agawam expressed to 22news.
Some other money saving tips include, filling the menu with side dishes that are less expensive than the main course. You can make your own ice in advance rather than buying it.
And you can use real plates and cutlery instead of buying paper goods.
