WEST SPRINGFIELD, Mass. (WWLP) – Wednesday’s Six Flags and Big E blood drive was a success!
American Red Cross Blood Services District Manager Ana Parelli told 22News the blood collected at the drive will help save the lives of up to 846 patients.
“This drive was especially critical now, as we are currently experiencing an emergency blood shortage,” Parelli said. “This even will go a long way in helping us meet patient needs.”
The numbers for the blood drive are broken down as follows:
- Presenting Donors: 360
- Productive Whole Blood Donors: 264
- Productive Power Red Cell Units: 54
