CHICOPEE, Mass. (WWLP) – A Winter Weather Advisory has been cancelled for all of western Massachusetts.

Most of us are waking up to 4-6″ of sticky snow this morning. Snow finished just before 9am and the rest of the day should be dry.

The snow has been wetter and heavier than previous storms. Take care shoveling and blowing this heavier snow, which will take extra effort to clear away. On top of the snow, some isolated areas of freezing rain overnight could make some icy spots this morning.

Going through Sunday temperatures should eventually head above freezing helping to melt some snow and improve road conditions.

Stay with 22News at 7AM and 9AM as we track this departing storm and a return to colder weather.
