South Hadley man running to Florida to raise money for childhood cancer research

A western Massachusetts man is on a mission to help conquer childhood cancer.

Fifty-five year-old Paul Jozefczyk of South Hadley is running more than 1,000 miles down the East Coast to Orlando, Florida, on behalf of Griffin’s Friends, the western Massachusetts organization devoted to help finding a cure for childhood cancer.

Paul’s mom, Nancy Landry of South Hadley has been following her son every step of the way.

“He’s just amazing,” Landry said. “I can’t believe the stamina and the determination he has for this he’s worked very hard.”

Paul set out on his marathon fundraising walk last month. He’s expected back in South Hadley by the end of this month.

Paul’s goal is to raise two thousand dollars for the cancer fighting crusade of “Griffin’s Friends.”
