Springfield firefighters put out a kitchen fire Monday night

According to Springfield Fire Department Spokesperson Dennis Leger, at 7:35 p.m. firefighters were called to a two-family home on 68 James Street.

When firefighters got to the home they found a kitchen fire on the second floor of the residence.
