SPRINGFIELD, Mass. (WWLP) – Springfield police arrested a man allegedly involved in a shooting back in June.

Springfield Police Department spokesman Ryan Walsh told 22News members of the Warrant Apprehension Team and Massachusetts State Police arrested 27-year-old David Carrasquillo at his home Tuesday morning.

Carrasquillo is accused of shooting someone on Boston Road on June 14. He is now charged with possession of a firearm without a FID card and discharging a firearm within 500 feet of a home.

The victim survived the shooting. Walsh said police identified Carrasquillo as the suspect through video surveillance.
