Springfield resident found dead in Pittsfield


PITTSFIELD, Mass. (WWLP) – A man from Springfield was pronounced dead after being found lying on the ground in Pittsfield.

Around 1:30 AM Saturday, Pittsfield Police responded to a 911 call about an unresponsive male in the vicinity of 129 Fenn Street.

When police arrived, they found 30-year-old Springfield resident James Dominguez III laying on the ground. Dominguez was transported to Berkshire Medical Center, in Pittsfield, where he was pronounced dead.

In a post to their Facebook page, Pittsfield Police described the death as “what appears to be a homicide.” Police have not yet performed an autopsy to determine the cause of death.
